Sand Boots

The Sand Boots keep your normal pace on desert sand. Bozai gives them as the reward for The Eighth Heroine, a quest that sends you to photograph a statue in the Gerudo Highlands. They upgrade to 18 defence, so they are worth keeping even when you wear another set.

How to get it

Meet Bozai

Dress in the Gerudo outfit and speak to Bozai outside Gerudo Town, asking about his boots. He lends you a pair of Snow Boots and tells you of the Statue of the Eighth Heroine in the Gerudo Highlands. You need the Camera Rune to complete the photo.

Photograph the statue

Wear the loaned Snow Boots (and warm clothing) and head to the Statue of the Eighth Heroine in the Gerudo Highlands, north-west of Gerudo Summit and reached over the snowfield above the highlands (x -4355, z 499, map square A-5). Stand on the statue’s joined hands and photograph its torso, or the whole figure, with the Camera Rune.

Return for the boots

Bring the photo back to Bozai. He takes back his Snow Boots and gives you the Sand Boots.

Great Fairy costs

Each star is bought at a Great Fairy Fountain, and you can only add as many stars as you have awakened fairies. Each fountain asks for a one-time fee in the order you wake them: 100 Rupees for the first, 500 for the second, 1,000 for the third and 10,000 for the fourth. Once a fairy is awake she upgrades any compatible piece for materials alone.

Notes

  • Once you have owned them and completed From the Ground Up, Granté in Tarrey Town sells them for 800 Rupees.
  • Do not confuse these with the Snow Boots, which are the reward for a follow-up quest and help on snow instead of sand.
