Growing Suspicion sends Rauru alone through the Hyrule Castle Outskirts, fighting through shades, a Shade, Captain Construct I, a Gerudo Assassin and a Stone Talus before a fast corrupted construct waits inside Hyrule Castle. It holds three Korok Seeds and four treasure chests, and clearing it moves the aside-quest marker on the map to Tanagar Canyon.

Before you start

Aim for level 10. Rauru is your only fighter, so there is nothing to swap. Bring shield-breaking tools for the Stone Talus, namely Rauru’s Noble Impact and Time Bombs. Sweep every group of shades along the way if you want Poes for later use.

Advancing through the outskirts

Advance while defeating the Shades

The objective is “Advance while defeating the Shades”. Quino and a Gerudo Captain fight at Rauru’s side as you push along the road and defeat the shades on the route. Clear all of them if you can, since they drop Poes.

The special Shade and the camp

Further on the objective changes to “Defeat the Shade”: a special shade with its own health bar attacks, with your allies helping. Defeat it. Afterwards you can enter a camp, which replenishes your special attacks and batteries and lets you supply materials.

Captain Construct I

Later, corrupted constructs led by Captain Construct I stand in your way (“Defeat the Captain Construct I!”). Beat them to open the path to the end of the map.

Gerudo Assassin fight

A Gerudo Assassin blocks the way next (“Defeat the Gerudo Assassin”). Her melee attacks come at short range, which makes perfect dodges hard to time, so block them instead; blocking fills her weak-point gauge efficiently. Partway through the fight two more special shades join in and the objective becomes “Defeat the Gerudo Assassin and the Shades” (0/3). Pull them together and hit them with Rauru’s wide attacks to drain both gauges at once.

Stone Talus and second assassin

After “Gerudo pursuers appeared!” you meet a Stone Talus and another Gerudo Assassin (“Defeat the Stone Talus and the Gerudo Assassin”). Break the Talus’s defences with Noble Impact or Time Bombs, then finish both. Afterwards the objective is “Head for Hyrule Castle!”, which leads to a cutscene.

Corrupted construct boss fight

The final enemy waits in a hall inside Hyrule Castle: a corrupted construct whose health bar shows only “???” (objective “Defeat ???!”). It moves faster than anything earlier in the battle. Keep your Unique Skills in reserve for its dangerous attacks. When it glows red, hold R to slow time and choose the matching counter skill.

Korok Seeds

Korok Seed

Seed 1: shimmering spot by the wall

Near the first camp, interact with the shimmering spot next to the wall to make this Korok pop out.

Korok Seed

Seed 2: wooden crate

Break the wooden crate beside a tree and the Korok hides behind the planks.

Korok Seed

Seed 3: Korok balloon

Hit the Korok balloon that floats beside the rock cliff to pop it and reveal the Korok.

Treasure chests

One chest sits in front of a torch by an indent in the rock wall and holds one Zonaite Steel (Spear). The other is beside the wall before the southern gate and holds five Big Hearty Radishes. Two more chests appear near the start, one beside the first captured camp (Shock Fruit) and one by a fence during the Gerudo Assassin fight (Hyrule Herb).
