Raging Sands opens Chapter 2: the Gerudo attack Hyrule Castle from the north while a Molduga draws attention to the south. You beat back the Gerudo warrior Sholani, set up a Camp, take down four Gerudo Captains, capture three outposts, kill a Molduga and finish by beating Ardi and the Captain who fights beside her. Clearing it opens The Hands of Evil.

Before you start

Bring level 5 or higher. You control Zelda, Rauru and Mineru, with Sonia fighting as a fourth ally, and can order allies to take outposts. Keep an anti-air Unique Skill ready for the Molduga, wide-area attacks for Ardi’s group, and Special Rations for healing. You can also use the Camp to refill rations and batteries.

East outpost and Sholani

Fight your way across the field to the Hylian soldiers under attack, where the Gerudo warrior Sholani charges you. Charge-type attacks work well against her; wear her down and she retreats to report to Ardi. If you like, order an ally to take an outpost in the meantime and swap to them when they arrive.

Setting up a Camp

After Sholani falls, Mineru sets up a Camp at this outpost. Use it to refill rations, health and batteries, and supply it with materials to upgrade its buffs. More on this is in Camps and Shops.

Gerudo Captains

Four Gerudo Captains must be defeated, and the objective counter reads 0/2 at first and then 2/4. Two are marked on the map; the other two appear once the first pair are down. They are spread across the upper half of the map, so use the order function to send allies at some of them and save time.

Molduga boss fight

Once the Captains are down, capture the outposts along the way (the objective reads Capture the outpost, then Head toward the enemy commander’s location) and cross the canyon to the open sand, where a Molduga rises as the area’s Gerudo Canyon Sentinel. It stays above ground most of the time. When it burrows to prepare a strong attack, use an anti-air Unique Skill while it is airborne.

Ardi boss fight

When the Molduga dies, the Gerudo Warrior Ardi rallies her troops and attacks with a Gerudo Captain at her side. The objective is to defeat Ardi, but the Captain is dangerous too. Their attacks cover a wide area, so keep moving, dodge and answer with wide-range attacks of your own. Use a Battery if your Zonai energy runs low. The battle ends once Ardi is beaten and her forces are ordered to withdraw.

Raging Sands Korok Seeds

Korok Seed

Korok Seed 1: pinwheel at the start

Right at the start, beside the rock wall near where you begin at the southern tip of the map, interact with the pinwheel and a Korok pops out.

Korok Seed

Korok Seed 2: shimmering bush in the birch grove

While you fight the first pair of Gerudo Captains (the objective reads 1/2), a shimmering bush stands in the birch grove where they attack. Interact with it to make a Korok appear and hand over its seed.

Korok Seed

Korok Seed 3: yellow flower by the tree

On the dark northwestern path, while the objective reads Head toward the enemy commander’s location, find a tree with a yellow Korok flower beside it and interact with the flower.

Treasure chests

Five chests are on the map. A chest holding Amber x5 appears after the first Captain fight, and capturing the first outpost reveals a chest of Electric Safflina. Zonaite Steel (One-Handed) x1 sits by a tree on a slope further on. The northeast outpost has a chest holding Stealthfin Trout x9 and Endura Carrot x10, and Zonaite Steel (Spear) x1 is by a tree on the path beyond it.

Rewards and what unlocks next

First clear gives Hylian Tomato x10, Hydromelon x10 and Blue Nightshade x10, and the results screen also pays out Rupees for the stage bonus, KOs and clear time. Clearing the battle opens The Hands of Evil.
