This chapter sweeps Hyrule Ridge west of Lookout Landing: Koroks and chests around Jeddo Bridge and Ludfo’s Bog, the Thundra Plateau shadow puzzle that opens a hidden cave, then Tabantha Bridge Stable, Makurukis Shrine and the Sikurukam Lightroot. The one thing to get right is timing: the plateau only opens when the in-game clock reaches noon.
Quick route
At Lookout Landing, expand a stash with Hestu, report wells to Fera, then stock up on arrows and Crystallized Charges.
Work west from Jeddo Bridge: four Koroks, the Arrow x5 chest, a Red-Maned Lynel and the dune Korok.
Cross Ludfo’s Bog: Rocket, Opal and Fan chests, Addison’s first sign, the three raft chests and two more Koroks.
Reach Thundra Plateau in the morning, cut mushroom-tree logs and stand a log pole on the south structure so its shadow reaches the north structure at 12:00.
Clear the Hinox and the Korok pair, ride on to Tabantha Bridge Stable, then Makurukis Shrine and the Sikurukam Lightroot.
Before you set out: Lookout Landing
Hestu (inventory upgrade). After Hestu’s Concerns, Hestu waits in the ruins of Lookout Landing at night. Hand him Korok seeds and choose which stash to enlarge: Weapon stash, Bow stash or Shield stash. Each upgrade adds one slot and costs more seeds than the last, so spend seeds from the Koroks below as you collect them.

Fera and the wells. Fera waits in the Lookout Landing Well. Tell her about wells you have found and she pays 10 rupees per well, so five wells earn 50 rupees. Report again whenever you find a new one; the Tabantha Bridge Stable Well below is one more.

Arrows (Mubs). The Lookout Landing General Store sells Arrow x5 for 20 rupees a bundle. Buy plenty before heading out: the Lynel, Hinox and Boss Bokoblin below all eat arrows.

Crystallized Charges (Forge Construct). Forge Constructs trade Crystallized Charges for Zonaite at 3 Zonaite each (a Zonai Charge costs 2). The forge in the Mining Cave on Great Sky Island works well; Crystallized Charges are what a Crystal Refinery turns into Energy Cell upgrades.

Jeddo Bridge and the western plains
Korok seed (paved plaza). On the cracked paving of the ruined plaza northwest of Jeddo Bridge, a sparkling spot darts around the stones. Chase it until you catch it and the Korok gives a Korok Seed.

Chest (Arrow x5). A small Bokoblin camp sits around a campfire beside a fallen log and a stack of crates. Clear the Bokoblins and open the chest behind the crates for Arrow x5.

Korok seed (arrows point the way). On the hills just north of Jeddo Bridge, a mossy rock pillar stands with a glitter of green sparkles on its top. Follow the way the marker arrows point and examine the spot for a Korok Seed.

Jeddo Bridge. A long wooden rope bridge spans the gorge. Two Koroks hide around its western end, one beneath the deck and one on the hill beside it.

Korok seed (lone rock under the bridge). Climb down beneath the bridge’s supports. A large boulder wedges against the timbers; lift the loose rock sitting on it with Ultrahand and the Korok appears with a Korok Seed. Use Ascend through the deck to climb back up.

Korok seed (balloon in the rock arch). A short way on, a mossy rock arch stands on a hillside with a balloon drifting inside the ring. Shoot the balloon with an arrow and the Korok pops up on the grassy mound behind the arch for a Korok Seed.

Miniboss: Red-Maned Lynel. A Red-Maned Lynel patrols the open grassland northeast of the bridge. Fire arrows from long range, use a heavy fused weapon in close and dodge sideways when it charges. It drops Lynel parts and its weapon.

Korok seed (stone slabs). In the grass west of the Lynel, two big stone slabs and a boulder stand together. Lift a slab with Ultrahand and lean it against the boulder as a ramp, climb up and examine the sparkling spot for the Korok Seed.

Korok seed (acorn pot). On a sandy rise near the Breach of Demise, an acorn pot hangs on the hillside. Break the pot (an arrow works) and the Korok drops out with a Korok Seed.

Ludfo’s Bog
Chest (Rocket). Near the northeast edge of the marsh a chest lies half-sunk in the muddy ground. Pull it free with Ultrahand and open it for a Rocket.

Chest (Opal). A Bokoblin lookout of planks and red barrels stands in the shallows. Clear the archers, climb the ramp to the deck and open the chest on the straw for an Opal.

Chest (Fan). On the shore just south of the lookout, a chest rests in the waterlogged mud. Lift it out with Ultrahand and open it for a Fan, a Zonai device that blows air.

Helping Addison (first sign). At the east edge of the bog, Addison cannot hold up a collapsed signboard. Use Ultrahand to set a plank under the sign and brace the post with the nearby wood until it stands. Talk to him for a Red Rupee, Spicy Veggie Rice Balls and a Puffshroom.

Chest (Arrow x5). Along the lake edge, crates and red barrels sit on a rocky perch. Climb up and open the chest for Arrow x5.

Chest (Large Zonai Charge). Out on the lake a small plank raft with Zonai wheels floats with a chest on its deck. Swim out, climb aboard and open the chest for a Large Zonai Charge.

Chest (Large Zonai Charge, second raft). Another wheeled raft floats farther west on the same lake. Grab it with Ultrahand to steer it toward the shore and open the chest for a second Large Zonai Charge.

Chest (Flame Emitter x3). The third raft lies to the south. Grab its chest with Ultrahand, or swim out to it, and open it for Flame Emitter x3. Keep these for the burning Koroks below.

Korok seed (fallen logs). On the grassy hill at the north end of the bog, toppled mushroom-tree trunks lie in a pile. Walk up to the rock beside them and examine the sparkling spot to release the Korok and take a Korok Seed.

Korok seed (burn the leaves, lift the rock). On a hillside just south of the plateau, a boulder hides under a thick patch of dry leaves. Light them with a fire arrow or Flame Emitter, then lift the rock the fire exposes. The Korok underneath gives a Korok Seed.

Chest (Sticky Elixir). North of the plateau a campfire burns beside a pile of fallen mossy logs. A chest rests in the hollow in front of the logs; open it for a Sticky Elixir.

Thundra Plateau shadow puzzle
Quick answer. Thundra Plateau is the Zonai ruin in the middle of Ludfo’s Bog, with stone structures on a raised ring. At noon, the shadow of the south structure has to reach the north structure. Build a tall pole of mushroom-tree logs on top of the south structure and wait for 12:00; a pit opens in the ground and leads down to Thundra Plateau Cave.
1. Arrive before noon. Glide in over the ring of ruins and land on the grass inside. You have until 12:00 to finish; if you arrive too late, rest at a campfire until morning and try again.

2. Cut logs. Giant mushroom trees grow right beside the ruin. Strike the base of a trunk to fell it into usable logs. Four logs is the bare minimum for the pole; five or six is safer.

3. Join the logs. Pick up one log with Ultrahand and attach the others end to end into one long pole. Fuse a short crosspiece or two across the bottom so it can stand upright.

4. Stand the pole on the south structure. Climb onto the top of the south structure and set the pole upright on it, crosspiece down, so it rises well above the stone. Rotate it with Ultrahand until its shadow runs straight north toward the north structure.

5. Wait for noon. Keep the pole standing and the shadow aligned. When the clock reaches 12:00 the shadow meets the north structure and a square pit opens at the foot of the pillars. Glide or drop into it.

Timing, weather and the Bubbul Gem
The shadow lines up only around midday: the window runs from noon to roughly 1 PM, so be in position by 11:30. Rain makes climbing the stone slippery, so rest at a campfire until the weather clears. Inside the cave, the Bubbulfrog is in a hidden chamber above the main room; use Ascend through the ceiling to reach it. The Mask of Awakening is one piece of the Armor of Awakening set, which you complete through the Misko’s Treasure side quest.
South of the plateau
Miniboss: Hinox. A Hinox sleeps on the grass southeast of the plateau. Fire arrows into its eye until it staggers, then hit it with a heavy weapon. It drops weapons, including a Traveler’s Claymore (or Soldier’s Claymore, Knight’s Claymore or Royal Claymore, depending on your progress), and materials.

Korok seed (sparkling spot). Near the Hinox’s field, follow a sparkling spot through the long grass beside a huge mushroom-tree trunk and catch it for a Korok Seed.

Korok seeds x2 (carry the Korok to his friend). A Korok with a big backpack is too tired to reach his friend, whose smoke signal rises from a tall mushroom. Fuse a lattice panel to a balloon and a Flame Emitter with Ultrahand, set the Korok on the panel and float him up. Delivering him pays Korok Seed x2.

West to Tabantha Bridge
Korok seed (arrows point the way). Among tall mushroom trees on a rocky stretch west of the bog, follow the direction the marker arrows point and examine the spot they indicate for a Korok Seed.

Korok seed (burn the leaves, lift the rock). A pile of dry orange leaves lies in the grass. Set it alight with a fire arrow, then lift the rock beneath it; the Korok gives a Korok Seed.

Miniboss: Boss Bokoblin. A Boss Bokoblin leads a camp on the open grass. Shoot the archers from range, then knock the boss down with heavy fused weapons.

Helping Addison (second sign). A fallen signboard lies beside the road. Stack the wooden planks near it under the sign with Ultrahand so it stands upright; Addison pays a Red Rupee and Energizing Mushroom Rice Balls.

Korok seeds x2 (cart delivery to Tabantha Bridge Stable). A Korok with a backpack sits on a hilltop near the stable. Build a cart from the boards and wheels at the stable, hitch it to a horse, set the Korok in the bed and drive it to his friend’s smoke. You earn Korok Seed x2.

Korok seed (follow the flower). At Tabantha Bridge Stable, follow the flower that drifts near the stable and the Korok it leads you to gives a Korok Seed.

Korok seed (under Tabantha Great Bridge). Climb down beneath the bridge. On a rock shelf under the supports lies a lone rock; lift it and the Korok underneath hands over a Korok Seed.

Tabantha Bridge Stable Well. The well stands under a small wooden roof in the fenced field beside the stable. Drop in and use Ultrahand to move the boulder blocking the passage. The chest at the end holds a Purple Rupee. This counts as a well for Fera.

Makurukis Shrine
Korok seed (rock pattern). On the gravel ridge before the shrine, a spiral of small rocks has gaps. Pick up the loose rocks nearby and set them into the gaps to finish the pattern; the Korok appears with a Korok Seed.

Makurukis Shrine. The shrine stands on the ridge just northeast of Tabantha Bridge Stable. Its trial is Combat Training: Archery and its chest holds a Strong Construct Bow. The Sikurukam Lightroot lies directly below it.

Korok seed (dive into the ring). Near Mount Rhoam, climb the boulder above a small waterfall and dive into the ring of lily pads in the pool below. The Korok surfaces for a Korok Seed.

Helping Addison (third sign). A sign on the hillside needs support. Use Ultrahand to stack the nearby boulders against the post so it stays upright, then talk to Addison for a Red Rupee.

Hyrule Ridge Chasm and the Sikurukam Lightroot
Drop into the Depths. The Hyrule Ridge Chasm lies about 500 meters north of the shrine, ringed with red gloom. Jump in, glide down into the dark and steer toward the Lightroot’s glow.

Sikurukam Lightroot. Below Makurukis Shrine the giant root stands in the dark. Walk under its twisted trunks and activate it to light the area and add a Depths travel point.
