This chapter takes you from a Bokoblin camp on the mountain road up the mountain road to Hebra Trailhead Lodge, over to Rito Village, down into its chasm and the Abandoned Hebra Mine, up to the West and South Hebra sky islands, and back to the surface at Rospro Pass. Coordinates are map units (X, Y, height); larger Y is further north. Bring cold resistance: the whole stretch is a blizzard, and the Snowquill set sold in the village solves it.

Quick route

Take the Korok seed and Silver Lizal Reaper chest at the Bokoblin camp on the mountain road, fix Addison’s sign, then climb to Hebra Trailhead Lodge for its roof Korok.

Burn the thorns off Rospro Pass Skyview Tower, activate it and glide south into Rito Village. Loot the three chests and two Koroks around Lake Totori, then clear Gatakis Shrine.

Pray at the Goddess Statue for a Stamina Vessel, finish the Genli and Molli quests, buy the Snowquill set and meet Teba. Take the two Koroks on the peak and the lake shore, then drop into Rito Village Chasm for the Sikatag Lightroot and the Abandoned Hebra Mine.

Launch from the tower to the West Hebra sky islands for Ijo-o Shrine, five chests, a Flux Construct and a Korok, cross to South Hebra for Sage’s Will and one more Korok, then come back to Rospro Pass to open The Blocked Cave.

Road to Rospro Pass

Korok seed (Ascend rock). Beside the Bokoblin camp on the mountain road, look for a rocky overhang at about (-3423, 2066, 172). Stand under it and use Ascend on the marker to pass up through the rock onto the outcrop; the Korok waits on top.

Chest (Silver Lizal Reaper). The same camp, around (-3479, 2070), has a skull-faced chest on a wooden watchtower. Clear the Bokoblins, climb the tower and open the chest for a Silver Lizal Reaper, a strong two-handed sword.

Addison’s sign. On the road just south-west of the lodge, around (-3612, 2197), a signboard lies on its side. Lift it with Ultrahand, rotate it upright against the post and let go. Addison pays a Red Rupee, then adds a little extra.

Hebra Trailhead Lodge. Follow the two bonfires burning beside the road to the lodge at (-3572, 2258). It is the northern base for Rospro Pass and Harth is inside; you will come back for him after the sky islands.

Korok seed (lodge roof). Climb onto the snowy lodge roof beside the chimney at about (-3565, 2256, 152), where a patch of green sparks marks the spot. Go up to the sparks and the Korok appears.

Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. The tower stands at (-3679, 2346). Thorny vines choke its entrance stairs: set them alight with a fire arrow, Fire Fruit or a torch, wait for the flames to die down, then go in and step onto the terminal. Launch from the top; it takes you to the West Hebra sky islands, and you can glide south from the same height to Rito Village.

East of Rito Village: chests and Koroks

Rito Village sits on a rock spire in Lake Totori at (-3620, 1800). The ledges east and south of it hold three chests and two Koroks, all within a few minutes’ walk.

Chest (Arrow x5). A chest half-buried in snow stands between pine trunks at about (-3458, 1866, 146), on the road east of the village. Open it for Arrow x5.

Chest (Purple Rupee). Around (-3497, 1846, 154), a block of ice sits against a rock wall. Melt it with a torch, fire arrow or Flame Emitter and open the chest behind it for a Purple Rupee.

Korok seed (balloon). Beyond the ice, around (-3549, 1752, 185), a red balloon floats above a tall rock pillar. Climb the neighbouring cliff to get level with it, then shoot the balloon with an arrow; the Korok on the pillar gives you its seed.

Chest (Opal). Down on the shore near (-3570, 1755, 162), a large ice block covers a chest at the foot of the rock wall. Melt the ice with fire and open the chest for an Opal.

Korok seed (rock hollow). In the rock hollow just before Gatakis Shrine, at (-3634, 1808, 167), a rock sits against the wall. Lift it with Ultrahand and the Korok underneath hands over its seed.

Gatakis Shrine

Gatakis Shrine (Ride the Winds, a puzzle trial) stands at (-3651, 1806, 182), directly under Rito Village’s general store; it also unlocks the closest fast travel point to the village. The Sikatag Lightroot lies below it. The shrine gives you no Zonai devices: the whole trial is paraglider flying.

Glide across and thread the lasers

Jump off the entry ledge and glide to the next platform. In the long hall beyond, fly along the wall and swing round the criss-crossing laser beams.

Dive the wind shaft and grab the chest

Drop into the circular shaft and dive just before the spinning disc reaches you. In the fan room, look to the side platform with a Construct and the chest, glide across and open it for a Mighty Construct Bow (Strong or Mighty, depending on your progress).

Ride the updrafts to the altar

Return to the wind and alternate diving and gliding up the maze-patterned shaft, then fly through the gap between the two Zonai statues to the altar. Step on it for the Light of Blessing.

Inside Rito Village

Stamina Vessel (Goddess Statue). A Goddess Statue stands in a snowy alcove at about (-3599, 1804, 179), close to the shrine. Pray at it with four Lights of Blessing to receive a Stamina Vessel.

Quest: Genli’s Home Cooking. Genli (quest page) is in The Slippery Falcon, the village general store and inn at (-3644, 1820). She wants one Staminoka Bass. Hand it over for Biting Simmered Fruit. The shop also buys materials and sells goat butter, Tabantha wheat, cane sugar, arrows, oil jars and Sunshrooms.

Snowquill armor. Kheel’s shop, Brazen Beak, is on the upper walkway at about (-3634, 1802, 215). It sells the Snowquill Headdress (650 rupees), Snowquill Tunic (500) and Snowquill Trousers (1,000), which give strong cold resistance for the mountains ahead.

Quest: Molli the Fletcher’s Quest. Molli (quest page) works at the workshop at about (-3616, 1791, 214), next to the armor shop. Give her one Ice Fruit or White Chuchu Jelly and she pays you in arrows; she will start crafting freezing arrows.

Main quests. Reaching Rito Village completes the Hebra stop of Regional Phenomena. Teba, standing on the top platform, starts Tulin of Rito Village and sends you to Harth at Hebra Trailhead Lodge; you pick that up again after the sky islands.

Korok seed (summit). Above the village there is a snow-covered peak at (-3612, 1892, 401). Climb or glide up to it; a rock sits on top. Lift it and the Korok appears.

Korok seed (roof shelter). West of the village, near (-3779, 1865, 262), a small wooden shelter between two stone statues is missing a roof plank. Use Ultrahand to lift the plank and set it back into the green outline; the Korok under the shelter gives you its seed.

Korok seed (lake shore). On a rock ledge beside a waterfall on the south shore of Lake Totori, at (-3696, 1685, 103), a rock hides the Korok. Lift the rock and take the seed.

Rito Village Chasm and Abandoned Hebra Mine

Rito Village Chasm. The chasm opens in the snow slope at (-3573, 1802), just east of the village. Step off the edge and glide down into the Depths; the first landing is the Abandoned Hebra Mine.

Sikatag Lightroot. The Sikatag Lightroot is at (-3652, 1806, -438), right under Gatakis Shrine. Walk up to the roots to light the Lightroot; the cavern around it becomes visible and it works as a fast travel point.

Yiga camp supplies. A Yiga camp with a red banner lies at around (-3413, 1872, -417), full of breakable crates. Smash them for Arrow, Sundelion, Mighty Bananas, Brightbloom Seed and Giant Brightbloom Seed.

Forge Construct. At about (-3471, 1888, -417), a Forge Construct beside a furnace trades Zonaite for Zonai Charges and Large Zonai Charges. Bring Zonaite and Large Zonaite from the mine rocks and buy as many as you can use.

Chest (Large Crystallized Charge). Climb the ladder just north of the forge to a stone block at about (-3474, 1925, -348). The chest holds a Large Crystallized Charge, worth 20 ordinary Crystallized Charges.

Great Sky Island detour: Energy Well. The Construct at the mine entrance tells you to visit the Great Abandoned Central Mine, and the Steward Construct at the Great Sky Island refinery turns Crystallized Charges into an Energy Well for your Zonai battery.

West Hebra Sky Archipelago

Launch from Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. The islands are cold and mossy, so keep a stock of food with cold resistance. The chain begins around (-3800, 2463, 515).

Chest (Large Zonai Charge). On the southern end of the chain, a chest lies in the long grass on a mossy ledge near (-3800, 2463). Open it for a Large Zonai Charge.

Miniboss: Flux Construct I. The Guardian of West Hebra Sky Archipelago holds a circular platform at about (-3816, 2699, 548). Shoot arrows with a Bomb Flower fused to them at its body blocks while you dodge, and keep moving. It drops Zonai Charges.

Chest (Old Map). The Flux Construct guards a chest on its platform. Open it for an Old Map; check your Depths map for the marked spot it reveals.

Zonai device dispenser. A dispenser on a circular stone base near (-3786, 2709) hands out Portable Pots, Time Bombs and similar devices for a few Zonai Charges.

Ijo-o Shrine (More than Defense)

Ijo-o Shrine is a puzzle trial at (-3861, 2681, 716), just west of the dispenser, on a floating island in the Hebra Mountains Sky. It has no Lightroot. It has one chest (Arrow x5) and a Light of Blessing.

Melt the exit ice with a flame-emitter shield

Defeat the Soldier Construct beside the exit and pick up its Flame Emitter Shield. Hold it up against the ice that blocks the way and the shield burns it away.

Free the chest from the ice

In the second room, melt the large ice block the same way (keep the shield durability) and open the chest behind it for Arrow x5.

Block the fire corridor

Take the Stone Slab Shield from the Construct on the left and hold it in front of you to walk through the flame jets sweeping the corridor.

Fly up with a Rocket Shield

Defeat the Captain Construct, grab a Rusty Shield, and use Ultrahand to fuse a Rocket to it. Face the far wall, activate the shield to launch yourself up the shaft and glide to the altar.

Collect the Light of Blessing

Walk to the altar at the end of the shrine and take the Light of Blessing.

North end of the island chain

Chest (Balloon). On the island north of the shrine, near (-3895, 2780, 707), a frozen pond covers a chest. Break through the ice and open the chest beneath it for a Balloon.

Chest (Flame Emitter). At the edge of the northern pond, around (-3872, 2827, 711), a second chest holds a Flame Emitter. It is a Zonai device that shoots fire.

Korok seed (stone wall). North of the pond, at about (-3917, 2880, 734), a Korok sits in a round niche on the side of a floating block. Climb the wall to the marker on its side and touch it; the Korok pops out with its seed.

Chest (Old Map). Keep climbing the huge sky rock beside the Korok wall. At the top, on the mossy ruined slabs near (-3868, 2919, 747), a chest holds a second Old Map.

South Hebra Sky Archipelago

Build a Wing. From the north end, build a Wing: place the Wing device, add a fan beneath and a control stick, board it and fly south-east across the clouds. Aim for the South Hebra island around (-3230, 1925).

Cross the gap. Fuse wheels to a plank with Ultrahand to build a small cart, set it on the stone rail and ride it across the gap to the ruined walls.

Chest (Sage’s Will). On the ruined stone slab at the end of the walk, a chest holds Sage’s Will, a rare item found in sky chests.

Korok seed (stump). Ascend through the island above the ruins and walk to the tree stump on top at about (-3101, 2142, 649). A glowing ring marks the goal; the Korok pops out once you reach it.

Back to Rospro Pass

Chest (Giant Brightbloom Seed x5). Glide down to the road south of Hebra Trailhead Lodge. A snow-dusted boulder at about (-3724, 2178, 156) has an Ascend marker underneath. Pass up through it and open the chest on top for Giant Brightbloom Seed x5.

Harth at the lodge. Go into Hebra Trailhead Lodge and talk to Harth; he completes the “Find Harth at the Lodge” step and sends you after Tulin in a mountain cave past the cliff in front of the lodge.

Quest: The Blocked Cave. Mazli stands outside a collapsed cave on the mountain road, with the entrance blocked by boulders. Fuse a Bomb Flower to an arrow, shoot the rocks from range and step back.

Also in this area

Korok seeds not collected. These are still waiting in the same map box: a cube puzzle at (-3877, 1762, 111), lift a rock at (-3985, 1708, 179), lift rocks at (-3944, 1969, 209) and (-3958, 2035, 208), a follow-the-flower trail at (-3792, 2319, 180), a burn-the-thorns-and-lift-the-rock Korok at (-3677, 2466, 320) beside Rospro Pass Cave, and a time-limited target ring at (-3292, 2442, 406).

Lodge chest. Inside Hebra Trailhead Lodge a stone chest holds a Meteor Rod.

Rito Village quests started elsewhere. Rito Village also has Legacy of the Rito (Teba, five Wood), Fish for Fletching (Bedoli, three Glowing Cave Fish), Treasure of the Secret Springs (Tulin) and The Rito Rope Bridge (Gesane, 20 Wood).
